Welcome

New website arrangements for NHS Lambeth

On 1 April 2011 NHS South East London was established as the transitional body covering Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark Primary Care Trusts and Bexley Care Trust. This change has been made as part of delivering the Government’s reforms to the NHS.

The NHS South East London website is currently under development, in the meantime, this PCT website will only be updated with very urgent information. In order to get the latest updates (including news, Board papers etc), please click here to go to the NHS South East London site.

NHS South East London covers a population of 1,568,000, which is projected to grow by 1.7 % by 2018. There are four acute hospital trusts, two of which are Foundation Trusts, two mental health Foundation Trusts, and a diverse and active community sector. An Academic Health Sciences Centre consisting of Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s, South London and Maudsley and King’s College London has also been formed. There are 271 GP practices and six community care providers, five of which are integrating (or have integrated) with local NHS providers and one is becoming a social enterprise. Together we're better

From 1 April, Lambeth and Southwark NHS communnity services are integrating with Guy's and St Thomas'. This means that community services staff, and staff at local hospitals, will work together to deliver a higher standard of care to our patients.

If you are an existing patient receiving support from community services, you will not notice any immediate changes. You will continue to receive the same care and see the same staff.

In future, you will need to look at the Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Fuondation Trust website (www.guysandstthomas.nhs.uk) for information about services and patient liaison.
